Enjoy a relaxing break in this 16th Century Bourguignon style Castle which offers two luxury suites of accommodation, the Queen Ann suite, which sleeps two people and the Rococo suite, comprising of a double and two single beds, which sleeps a family of four. The rooms are both en-suite and non-smoking rooms.
The Chateau has 29 acres of grounds which includes a 12 acre, well stocked Carp Lake. It is in walking distance of many local amenities and the charming medieval village of Charlieu.
The village is steeped in history with many attractions such as the Abbey Benedictine, from which the village was founded. There is also a Church, a Hospital museum, Silk museum (the industry of silk weaving expanded to Charlieu in 1827) plus many bars, shops and restaurants. There is also a cinema. The village is surrounded by country lanes and woodland, ideal for walking, cycling and enjoying the fresh country air.
Linen and towels are provided by Chateau de Tigny as well as a continental breakfast. Airport pick-up & drop-off can be provided. Unfortunately Chateau de Tigny is unable to provide disabled access within the Chateau.
There are many other activities in the nearby surrounding villages such as canoeing/ kayaking on the Loire river. You can choose from a Barge museum or maybe the Equestrian Centre for Horse riding, or maybe even a round of golf? If shopping is your thing take a visit to Roanne and hunt out the bargains in its many factory outlets.
