Angling Rules and Regulations

For your pleasure we have stocked our lake with superb fish,their welfare is paramount to your fishing experience at the lake,we see no reason why they should come to any harm so strict adherence to the rules will be followed,all anglers will understand our commitment to the safety of the fish.

1. Fish swims are available from 2.00 pm on day of arrival and to be vacated by 10.00 am on day of departure.
2. No rods are to be left unattended.
3. Maximum 3 rod limit per angler.
4. Only barbless hooks permitted,checks will be made.
5. No sacking of fish at any time will be allowed.
6. Carp once caught must be replaced to the water as soon as possible after photos have been taken and returned on the unhooking mat or from the weigh sling to avoid the possibility of dropping and causing injury(again safety of the fish is everything) Please bring Klinix for use to all hook holds and any abrasions caused in playing the fish.
7. No particle baits,nuts or dog food is allowed.
8. Only "safe" rigs will be permitted, checks will be made.
9. Minimum 15bs line to be used.
10. Minimum size landing net must be 42" and knot-less.
11. All lines must be brought in if leaving the bank side.
12. Anyone leaving litter of any sort during their stay will be asked to leave immediately, use bins provided.
13. Unhooking mats must be used at all times and be at least 1.2m long and .6m wide and have a decent cushion within.
14. No boats are allowed on the lake except our own rental rowing boat which must be reserved at the time of booking. Bait boats are permitted.
15. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
16. No fires of any kind permitted (apart from cooking stoves).
17. All nets, un-hooking mats and slings must be dipped in the disinfectant bin provided.
18. Please abide by the countryside rules.  Keeping noise to a minimum late at night.
19. There is no swimming permitted in the lake at all times. There are no designated swims.
20. Night fishing is permitted.
