Angling Rules and Regulations

At Chateau de Tigny we have stocked our lake with superb fish for your pleasure and therefore their welfare is paramount to your fishing experience. Please follow and adhere to the following rules and the fish should stay healthy and come to no harm. As an angler you will understand our commitment to the safety of the fish.

1. Fish swims are available from 2.00 pm on day of arrival and to be vacated by 10.00 am on day of departure.

2. No rods are to be left unattended. All lines must be brought in when leaving the bank side. Maximum of 3 rods per angler.

3. Only barbless hooks are permitted (checks will be made).

4. No sacking of fish at any time is allowed. Carp once caught must be returned to the water as soon as possible. Once photographed the fish must be returned to the water on an unhooking mat or from the weigh sling to avoid the possibility of dropping and causing injury (again safety of the fish is paramount). Please bring Klinix for use to all hook holds and any abrasions caused in landing the fish.

5. No particle baits, nuts or dog food are allowed.

6. Only "safe" rigs are permitted, (checks will be made) and a minimum 15lbs line to be used.

7. Minimum size landing net must be 42" and knot-less.

8. Unhooking mats must be used at all times and be at least 1.2m long and .6m wide with a decent cushion within.

9. All nets, un-hooking mats and slings must be dipped in the disinfectant bin provided.

10. Bait boats and night fishing are permitted.

11. There is no swimming permitted in the lake at any times.

12. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

13. No fires of any kind are permitted (apart from cooking stoves).

14. Anyone leaving litter of any sort during their stay will be asked to leave immediately, please use bins provided.

15. Please abide by the countryside rules and please consider others by keeping the noise to a minimum late at night.
