Chateau de Tigny - Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before making a booking. The submission of a booking request may not be legally binding, but the completion and signing of the booking form sent to you will be.

1. Reservation: Your reservation will be made upon the receipt of a deposit. You will receive a confirmation showing the date(s) booked via e-mail .

2. Deposit: A deposit of 50% is payable when booking. Unfortunately the deposit is non-refundable unless we are able to re-let the dates reserved by you.

3. Holiday price: The price shown is guaranteed from the date we receive your booking and deposit.

4. Balance of payment: The balance of outstanding payment is requested to be paid on arrival. If payment of the balance is unpaid on arrival we reserve the right to cancel your booking thus fortifying any deposit made and treat it as a cancellation in accordance with paragraph 5.

5. Cancellation fee: A cancellation of your Holiday will result in a cancellation fee based on the following: (1) Cancellation 8 weeks or more before the holiday date = fee is deposit only. (2) Cancellation less than 8 weeks before Holiday date = fee is full cost of holiday ( we have the right, unless we can re-let the allocated dates, to obtain rental in full. You are subject by law to pay full rental if the vacancy cannot be re-let. we therefore strongly recommend you undertake suitable holiday insurance).

6. This Contract: By booking with Chateau Tigny Lake you form a verbal contract between Chateau Tigny and yourselves. Both parties are subject to French law, accept this.

7. Force Majeure: Chateau tigny Lakes are not liable for any loss, delay or cancellation due to the following: Fire, storm, flood, closure of ports, weather conditions, acts of God, riots, political unrest, industrial disputes, war or any other event or circumstances beyond our control.

8. Liability: Under no circumstances shall our liability to you exceed the amount paid to us for your holiday. It is your responsibility to take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal safety. We accept no liability for any death or personal injury unless this results from our negligence. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

9. Insurance: You are strongly advised to arrange a travel insurance policy covering medical costs and for the party's personal belongings, public liability , death, personal injury, medical costs etc. as these are not covered by our insurance.

10. Termination: We reserve the right to immediately terminate the services we are contractually obliged to provide you if we consider your behaviour likely to cause unacceptable annoyance or harm to other persons or damage to fish or property.

11. Complaints: In the unlikely event of a complaint by you or one of your party, please advise us immediately. We are always contactable and want you and your party to have a relaxing, trouble free stay with us.

12. Passport/Visa: It is recommended that you and each and every member of the party possesses a valid passport and visa (if applicable). If you fail to obtain any relevant documentation before you travel you are solely responsible for any costs, loss or damage you may incur of the failure to do so. We shall not be liable for any costs, loss or damage and no refunds will be made.

13. Fishery Rules: All persons agree by the fishery rules. Copies will be sent upon receipt of your booking form and deposit. Please sign in agreement and return.We will hold your information and may use it to inform you of offers in the future or to send you brochures. If you do not wish to receive this information in the future, please write to us. We will not provide your details to selected third parties for marketing purposes.
